There are very few ways to know for sure - unless you request they take a certain photo (e.g. with their JC username in it or something like that, which is obviously harder to do if it is for real but it isn't someone's wife). Like most things on the internet, it always has to be taken with a pinch of salt, but I think if you chat to people enough you can normally work out if they are for real or not.

Agreed, I normally call it BS unless they can prove otherwise. Most people live in dreamland.

There is the truth, embellished truth and outright BS. All three undoubtedly happen here, and some people just aren't very convincing bullshitters. Like you say, some of it is a bit lame and occasionally a little creepy to boot. But its easy enough to ignore those particular threads/posts.

The problem is always how much can you reveal without revealing too much. I admit the thought of someone getting off to her is addicting, but I guess I know what gets me off, whatever the guy on the other end believes almost doesn't matter.

You can't come here or anywhere really and expect all of these threads are real. Yes, some are real. Some guys will give out pics of their wives. But some aren't. Some pretend its a wife or sister or son as you said in the example.

It's ironic this thread started on April 1st, April Fools day, but I wonder about that as well. I am sure there are many people that are sincere and share photos of their wife or friends but many find photos from the web to create more excitement. Honestly I do not understand sharing photos of family members unless that family member agrees to it. I know it is popular to share photos of people you know personally here and that leads some to try to show off their so-called hot wife or girlfriend. I would never dream of sharing photos of my ex or any family member.
