Nearly every male, on the planet, who has entered or grown past puberty, has masturbated regardless of religion. Research has shown that regular masturbation promotes better physical and emotional health. My guess is that when Christ was in his teens, he enjoyed himself. I'm a Christian of 75 years who has beat off almost daily for 63 years even when I was in a long term sexual relationship. Never felt guilty. My only regret? That I didn't have more sex than I did, and I had a lot.

I think the original post was referring to how much christians especially from older generations were taught masturbation is a sin. It was a forbidden subject. But like Strider said, men regardless of religion all masturbate their whole life from the moment they discover it. It is healthy physically and emotionally to masturbate and ejaculate regularly

I was raised catholic. Not sure if that shaped me as far as suppressing urges or wanting it more. I know we were taught it was wrong but we know that was not accurate on a health standpoint.
