Any of you older guys taken testosterone treatment injections? What were the effects, and how long did it take you to see a difference? I start mine in a couple weeks.

Im not quite as old as you but I have tried the T shot. A bit of a long story, although all me my levels came back fine the DR thought I could benefit from it in other areas.

It took around 4-6 weeks to notice a difference and I want to hump everything. My wife couldnt keep up and said I was to much for her. She also asked me to stop getting the shots. One they were expensive since insurance did not pay and two she said I didnt need them.

Then I got into a car accident and between Dr appt, Physical therapy just didnt feel like I had the time to get the shots anymore since I had to go to an office to get them.

A couple years later I went back, Dr said me levels were fine but seems like this Dr is just out trying to make a buck. After about three months of shots I felt nothing, no increase in energy or mood and to my surprise zero increase in sex drive.

Obvious very disappointing and I stop going again. The first time was a good run I loved every minute of being so horny, would love to get that feeling back again.

I do them myself now. I dont feel really any benefit. Going in for follow up shortly.

My testosterone levels dropped considerably when I got older. I felt depressed and I didn't know why until my doctor ran blood work and discovered how low my levels were. I get the bio-identical hormone shots now, it's turned my life around. I strongly recommend it if your levels are really low like mine were.

I've been taking T shots every 2 weeks for about 9 months. My main symptom was that I often had difficulty reaching orgasm. This was very frustrating for both me and my wife. The T shots have helped a lot. It took probably 6 weeks for the maximum effect. The doc did confirm before I started that my levels were below normal. After 3 months, the levels were normal. I'm very happy with the treatment.

Im a retired competitive bodybuilder so Ive know all about Test and other anabolics. At my age I only want to feel good, have more energy, build some muscle and of course be as horny as an 18 yr old

I take 300 mg of testosterone weekly via IM injections, I take a few wks off a year but not many

Assuming thatis a liquid. How much on the injection is that? I guess it might depend on concentration.

so many positives but will also will kill (sterile) and shrink your balls whilst on it.

How much will it shrink your balls?

it dose not shrink your balls on t shots for 5 years now. Your think off the steroids to built muscle that shrinks them

HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is actually more common than you may be aware of, for both men and women. Low testosterone will leave you feeling depressed, fatigued and numerous other symptoms depending on what your levels are. They drop as you age. Mine dropped very, very low and a saliva test revealed that. Until then I could not figure out the source of why I felt so awful. My doctor explained this was the really low testosterone levels. I started bio-identical testosterone shots about 5 years ago and it has changed my life. Gone is the depression and fatigue and everything else I was experiencing. I feel good now, like myself again. It is a relief to wake up without some unexplainable depression and tiredness, etc. It's not some super drug that will make you crazy, just restore things back to normal. That's what it has done for me anyway. And no, my balls have not shriveled up at all.

Good for you. Glad you had a good doctor that pinpointed what was the cause. I know it can be a real problem in men as we age. And its great that we can support each other on here. Too much negativity in the world without needing it here. Thanks for sharing your story. Hope it helps other guys
