We are trying a different chat interface right now. As you all know, we've been having many problems with the chat server. The Java chat app that it uses has a flaw in it, causing the errors, the new interface we are using is our attempt to get around the flaw, since the chat server owner doesn't appear to be able to fix the issue anytime soon.

Turns out this one supports the gender/age feature. I just flipped it on.

The typewriter typeface is very hard to read. Posted links do not appear as hyperlinks and are not in another color as before. Basically the visual presentation of the information is really busy. It needs more separation using fonts, colors, etc. It takes forever to read, scan visually. Needs some "graphic design," I guess.

Hi Frooner, we're mostly concerned with making it WORK right now. There's no point in addressing the visuals until we know this helps with the main issue.

works great for me. the only thing is the font is so small. is there a way to change the font size?

If you're using the link to the old chat that Administrator posted, then that is about normal. Be sure you're using the new chat application we put up by clicking the Chat link at the very top of the page. You can't get the "security parameters" error with the new chat.

Tried the Chat link at the top of the page this morning when I saw this thread. I was not getting in until I gave permission despite "Application has digital signature error", and "security concerns" error messages.

I'm not getting in again now?? Its giving me some message saying that it is potentially unsafe software or something??

Your computer does that when you download a new Java application. Go ahead and have it install.
