As you all know, we've been having trouble with the chat server for quite awhile and we have decided to change the server to something else.

Our java chat has been updated to point to the new server. I have set the old chat so that you can't talk in there anymore, so you will need to close out of there and can join the chat by using the java chat link from here

We still won't be running the chat server ourselves, but it is part of a very large network, so we feel very confident about the switch.

IRC users will need to point your client to:
irc.dal.net port 6667
use channels #jackinchat and #pornjackers

We have shut down the room on the xxxchatters server so you will need to update to this new server. It may take a few days for everyone to transition over, so please be patient.

You will need to re-register your chat name on the new server if you had registered chat names in the past. If you don't know what that means, you don't need to worry about it.

You might notice that some names may not be available, so you'll have to be creative.

The 2 channels on the server we run are:
#jackinchat a general purpose chat room
#pornjackers for sharing and discussing porn links to pictures and videos

We took the channels button off the chat application because there are over 8,000 channels on this new server and most of them aren't sex related. I know it sucks that you don't have access to the other rooms that we used to have access to, but we really didn't have a choice in the matter.

To join a room, you would type this in the box where you type when you chat:
/join #pornjackers

Another update. The chat server owner has banned me from the old chat server, so I am no longer able to get in there. Hopefully the word gets out that we have moved to the other server.

It has come to my attention that the guy that runs the server we used to be on has re-opened #jackinchat chat room on there. That is not the official chat room of this web site, if you are going to www.xxxchatters.com to chat, you will not be taken to our chat.

If you guys can, spread the word to your friends and have them come back to www.jackinchat.com. When he banned jackinchat.com from his chat server, a large chunk of our users were tricked into going to his website to chat instead of ours. It is important that everyone knows to use this website to chat so you are taken to the right chat room. Please tell your friends.

I use Java and I log in to chat thru the Jackinchat website (not at www.xxxchatters.com) and I can't log in.

For those who can't connect, what exactly does it say?

It's worth mentioning that it might take a minute for the connection to complete. If you're seeing a few lines about finding your hostname and it looks like it's just hung there, give it a few seconds - it should drop you in the room shortly.
