I was wondering as to what is the reason why I feel the need to masturbate and ejaculate my semen so often during the day.

I have been single for around 6 months now and on any given day I ejaculate 3-4 times. Sometimes it could be upwards of 6.

I wonder if it is more mental(ie. I see a pretty woman and my brain tells me that I need to ejaculate)or physical (ie. too much testosterone)?

Maybe it is a combination of the two?

Second, I think the big thing is that your body is conditioned to ejaculate that often, so it expects it. Your body likes routine, and the routine you've given it involves ejaculating so many times a day.

It might also mean that you have a high testosterone level, but only a doctor could tell you that for sure.

I do think that you ultimately need to control your body and not let it control you.
