Sorry all new to me so if this sounds dumb please forgive me. If you want to give another guy (complete stranger) a sign that your interested, what do you do? Or what signs should I look for if someone is trying to give me one?

A smile is usually good for me, but every case is different. A gesture(body language) towards where you are heading also helps...Try a head tilt in the direction your looking to go...hope it helps..and good luck out there...

When in high school, one of the brothers of my classmates would discreetly tap my foot. For example, riding next to him in a car, he would periodically tap my foot with the side of his shoe. You do know about leaving the corner of a washcloth sticking out from under your hotel door. Fairly universal. Just knock on the door and hand the washcloth back. Size each other up and walk on or walk in.
