What do you guys think of the new chat system we have up? Working well for you? Better/worse than before?

So far so good. I've been able to get in, which is something that was spotty at best, before.

i get a shit load of unresponsive page errors and i dont like all of the urls by peoples names when they join or quit. it drives me insane

Agree very fast access great improvement . Not too keen on all the other information but guess we can get used to it . However how does one private message , one -to - one chat ? Got it to work 'click' name then 'click ''query' Worked very well just as before .

Big implovement but I would like the notifications of who has join and left etc to show up differently from the conversations

How does private message work? If I click on a name, I get a dropdown, but I still don't see how to get to private message.

When you 'click' a name you get a dropdown. It includes a 'Query' and if you click that you will see the persons name on a new window in your screen . After that it works as before.

I have not been able to get into chat since I had to update java. Any help with that?

Just tried again, got in, no problems..

Yes, thought it was because of a java update that I was no longer able to get in, so gave up. Something about a security issue & jar? Been using dalnet instead which was mentioned on a years old post.

Works okay for me, but I don't like the URL details appearing next to everyone's name.

Works well for me Ben, old one wasn't anymore after having to update my Java.

Never tried it on this site as too many guys are of a different sexual orientation and I am only interested in straight topics or the joys of masturbation.

I feel the same as you, kinkykik. I don't like it at all.

In the Javascript chat, you can click the little button to the left of the "status" tab at the top, will give you options you can turn things on or off.

In the HTML5 chat, click the gears button in the top right corner to access the options.
