I use a multi-blade razor.There's no problem if you're careful.

I go through different phases of how I wear my pubic hair. Most often it's trimmed/shaved, though I more recently gave waxing a try. Damn does it make it smooth and with a lot less irritation afterwards. Not sure if I'll stick with it, but it's been pretty enjoyable.

Well, if its long I use electric clippers to get it short. Then I use hair conditioner and a multi-blade razor to finish the job. The conditioner helps the razor glide and it never stings like some shaving lotion can.
I use a multiple blade razor and shave pubes balls and down to anus. I like the feeling and look of being shaved smooth. Looking at maybe trying waxing but not sure yet.
