Hi, was wondering if any other UK guys ever reminisce about the old days when the only porn easy to get hold of were the old top shelf porn mags? Men only, fiesta, club and the rest.
Don't get me wrong, I luv the net for the immediate access to what ever smut you want. I just sometimes look back fondly to the old days. The nerve racking experience of going to yr local corner shop, hanging around waiting for other customers to disappear before making a hurried grab for the horniest looking mag, quickly paying and getting out before you got spotted? Rushing home and praying the house was empty before leafing through the mag, throbbing prick in yr sweaty palm! Fuck, tame as they seem now I still get hard when I see one of those old mags!

I remember finding those mags under the bridge and thinking it was xmas, I used to also sell those mags at school until my head of year caught me (never did see the confiscated mags again), a friend of mine's dad used to give them to him, so I sold them at 50p a shot at school and split the money 50/50 with my mate, or more usually bought beer, I miss being young.

I used to make the nervous trip to the newsagent too. Usually one the other end of town so the chances of being spotted by someone who knew me were reduced. I used to love the thrill of buying the old top shelf "wank mags" If it was a girl at the till all the better. My theory was they were there for our delectation and it was obvious why we would buy them, so why not.

I used to use a "Read-n-Return" shop in my local town and they had an adult section at the rear. Around the time when the mags finally became no holds barred with penetration and cum-shots I used them a lot.

I remember, when I was a teen, the occasional ordeal of buying or attempting to buy top-shelf mags from newsagents. The whole operation was complicated and stressful. I wouldn't use an immediately local newsagent because I wanted to be as anonymous as possible, so I'd walk to another part of town. There would also be a spot of reconnaissance involved: in order to limit embarrassment, I'd want to be sure that the person serving was male, and that no other customers were in or approaching the shop at the precise time that I'd make my move to nip inside and quickly make the purchase. There's an old 'Not The Nine O'clock News' sketch which funnily satirises this kind of experience. Rowan Atkinson nervously enters a newsagent and buys porn mags which the server then wraps for him in an 'incriminating' brown paper bag - a bag which the purchaser fails to notice has "PORN FILTH" printed on it! This ordeal over with, I'd then retire as quickly as possible to a secure private place and feverishly scan the pages of my mag (nostrils excited by the smell of the print), hoping that I'd seriously fancy at least one or two of the models or find inside, as a bonus, some male/female 'action' with a semi-erect penis close enough to making contact with a woman's flesh in an appealing 'posed' pose! Good luck would afford me a powerful wanking experience, but the stress would continue with the challenge of keeping my mag safely concealed for future use... I've enjoyed reading these posts on those early porn mags, I was an older looking 16 year old at the time so I could get away with buying these mags and continued to do so many years after. I would go into one newsagent and pick a mag to browse at length, I would then go down the road to another newsagent and this time pick a different mag and browse that one at length. I would do this in several different newsagents until one mag really stood out for me, it may have been how the girls posed or their look or a piece of clothing that would cause me to make my buying decision.
