You must masturbate atleast once every 43 hours or more times to maintain prostate health. It is a fathers duty to teach the son about masturbation for not only sex education but for health. The father is the role model. Though you need to use good sence when an event takes place, ( when you use good sence your son will too ) you don't need to hide it. It is ok for a father to masturbate while his son masturbates as long as they are seperate and not touching each other. An important point to point out is that masturbating in the presence of each other is not a "gay" activity and shouldn't be the meaning. Your purpose should be teaching good health.

I won't go so far as to say you should do it in front of each other, but it's nothing to be ashamed of. My wife and I have both told our daughter that masturbation is normal and healthy but a private thing. As she gets older she may want to do it with a friend, but I don't need a 10yo spread eagle on my couch watching TV.

I don't understand parents who freak out about talking to their kids about sex and the human body. It's not "dirty", it's just life. They either learn it from a parent or some porn site.

I have heard many times from parents that they allow there kids to masturbate while watching T.V. And I think its great that they can allow them to do it. I do urge them to use a clean towel to sit on when masturbating. When in the presence of each other do not allow them to touch each other. Supervision is always required wheter anyone is masturbating or not anyway. There is nothing wrong with masturbating anywhere in the house as long as each individual keeps seprate and not touching each other, MALE OR FEMALE. When Masturbation is taught right issues will be a thing of the past.

As a for instance, look at all the posts on this site, as well as many others, about all the years of repression and guilt associated with masturbation.
My feeling is that it should always be a guilt free, pleasurable experience for anyone..any age...male or female.

You probably shouldn't masturbate around anyone, family or otherwise, unless you are already sure that they are okay with it.
Dont push it on anyone, by sight, touch, sound, or whatever.

Also, masturbation is part of human sex, and so is touching, so it's always going to be hard to say no touching between two interested persons. And as we know, two interested persons "never do less than they did last time."
