As already posted I do NOT approve of insest and have encouraged one youth to press charges recently. My post only refers to health and masturbation. This dose not mean one touching another. Please keep your facts striaght.

You're talking about masturbating openly with kids. That sure sounds like sexual activity to me.
I'm just a guy

We also must keep in mind that masturbation is also healthy for the ladies too. Some times they need a little encouragement to do so. When they ask why we are interested in them masturbating, we need to point out that it's because we care about them and there health.

I have heard many times from parents that they allow there kids to masturbate while watching T.V. And I think its great that they can allow them to do it.

I personally think they're very bad parents.

You're supposed to raise your children to be effective members of society, giving them the impression that something like this is acceptable in society is not right, and it will damage them emotionally, sexually and socially in the future.

By allowing or encouraging something like this you are warping their sense of what is right and wrong when it comes to socially acceptable behaviour, they're likely to be harmed by this in the future.

This thread should be flagged. It's suggesting something dangerous and potentially abusive.

I have caught my daughter rubbing herself while sitting on the couch watching TV. Not naked, just her hand in her pants. I simply tell her to cover herself or go to her room. There is nothing wrong with getting your jollies, but I don't need to get a call from school or another parent concerning my child's masturbation habits.

My wife and I never discourage masturbation, but we do emphasize that it's to be done in private.

I don't think it's acceptable to have children masturbating in front of parents nor acceptable for parents to masturbate in front of kids. Kids should be encouraged to have healthy attitudes about masturbation and informed that it's done in private, that it's OK to masturbate with friends their age and that it's a healthy and enjoyable thing to do.
If your kids ask is it OK to masturbate their friends or touch them your answer should be yes mutual masturbation is fine and that it's a decision each us must make for ourselves as to what we like.
As parents we need to put an end to the stigma attached to masturbating so kids grow up with healthy bodies and attitudes.
At no time should parents be present when kids are engaging in masturbation.grin
No cum is wasted.

I agree. I've never told my daughter it's okay to do it with kids her age, but I don't think I have to. If she does, that's fine.

I definitely agree that it is important for children to be given accurate information including, obviously, that masturbation is healthy, normal and fun and is what they should be doing to manage their horniness when it would not be right to do something else.

It's great if they are comfortable about doing it such that they are not always worried about whether someone will "catch" them when doing in in their rooms or that someone will will freak out if they find semen spots on clothes or bedclothes.

I am not sure I'd go as far as suggestinng opening doing it in front of the TV. There is an extent to which different families have different standards which vary to a certain extent according to where in the world they live but I am sure everywhere there is a line, i.e. those children need to understand that although it is normal and healthy that doesn't mean other people should be given an eyeful whenever they feel like it.

On that point it is important to make the point that the most important thing about a sexual activity is that everyone involved consents. If you do something in front of people they are effectively drawn into the activity and they need to consent too. Other than that, up to you. I am not going to worry about fetishes or miniroty behaviour.

Comus makes a good point about managing horniness. At a time when sex is not an option such as two kids for example, masturbation manages there horniness. As mentioned before, "masturbation saves lives".

As for masturbating infront of the T.V., to tell them to hide thier masturbation tells them that masturbating is wrong. It is better to be open about it. If the kid is masturbating in front of the T.V. you know that they are not in the closet having sex with another kid. Proper supervision is also a preventive messure that is important. Sorry I have to say it but the subject keeps comming up.

I'm going to have to pull the plug on this one. Even if we accept c2c's stated position as a given (which, frankly, I'm not sure I do), there's an awful lot of discussion of kids masturbating around or with adults/parents.
