Recently I have been so busy I can only find time and privacy to jack off about once a week (previously I was going about once a day). The last couple of times I jerked it, when I reach orgasm I get a sharp pain right in the head of my penis, almost like somebody is stabbing it with a pin. It's not a lube or friction issue, it's deep in the head (and always on the same side).

Is this something that comes with age (I'm 47) or the change in frequency?

Go see your doctor! Neither age or frequency should cause that.
