Anyone else having problems after Yahoo messenger on mobile most recent update?

Lost all my contacts

it's awful. Couldn't see my contacts. couldn't be invisible. I just gave up and uninstalled.

Has anyone had any luck with YIM mobile?
Have they made improvements?

I think it's toast. People seem to be moving to Kik.

On my iPhone, I have had good success with storing pics in the FileBrowser app, which supports "Copy to Kik".

I not had any of the problems other people are having, but I'm unable to share any files or pics, and never have been able to. So yeah, I agree, yahoo sucks sweat from a dead man's balls!

only problem is KIK does not store conversations and if you enjoy role plays that sucks.

Its definitely NOT an improvement. I can't see which contacts are online. All my contacts see me as online, even after I've signed off. It seems to take up more memory than the old YIM, and the appearance is just full of white space. The only improvement is that I can share pictures with SOME, but not all of my contacts. Prior to this, pics kept failing.

It definitely needs to be fixed.

when I saw it had been updated I thought great! until I installed it and realised it is utter garbage, well done yahoo!

I am having serious issues with Yahoo messenger. Went to the App Store on my iPhone yesterday afternoon selected the one for my type of phone. Installed answered all the questions they ask, they wanted my cell phone number and a list of my contacts. I was very uneasy about the questions and just seemed uneasy about giving out my information.
Well needless to say the damn thing wouldn't work. I was very pissed off. After the 3rd try I gave up. Very same thing happen with me for Skype also.

Yahoo messenger is also not available on a mac. I have to use the shitty version through yahoo mail which doesn't even let me send or receive files.

seems to be a recent change where , if someone says 'hello' you get invited to a group. u can send pics in the group but u have to invite the person who said hello to you and they have to check their email to click on the link. all seems very long winded if i'm doing it right. I'm sticking to Chatstep for the moment....

You can download the old mobile version of yahoo, provides you had it on your phone. At least you can on an iPhone. Open the App Store, go to the updates section, and at the top of the list of updates, it should say purchased. Click that for a list of apps you previously downloaded. Find yahoo, and download again.

Obviously no version of YIM is perfect, but the old one is better than the new one.

Mobile yahoo was bad before, it's even worse now. Kik and/or Skype is the way to go.
