icanhazchat has some good rooms, i'm in the jobuds room a lot
its a drag as yahoo chat has been great for years but recently it is broken and I hear the phone app is useless.

What I would like to find is a good alternative to Yahoo Messenger for pic sharing. I like Yahoo because I can send images and then I can see exactly what the other person is looking at, and so far I'm not aware of any other chat service that allows the same feature. Back in the day I used a chat client called Hello which was even better for photo sharing, but it was discontinued years ago.

With Yahoo going wonky..again people should start looking at I/phone/Android apps for their pic swap/chat sessions,moreover your data will be safer,Signal/telegraph.whatapp/kik/snapchat and so on.

Ive switched to skype from yahoo. Not as good in terms as no photoshare window but can still see the pics u are sharing and mic/cam facility is there if you wanna add that to your chat or swap.
Just use an older version of Messenger.

Just checked and there's no need to enter an email address. Any server based solution will potentially log IP addresses. Don't see that as much of an issue though myself. Wouldn't be doing anything illegal or otherwise untoward on the service. It's got to be better than Snapchat for privacy- that's had some ugly security issues.

That's only helpful if chatting from a phone. Does you no good if chatting on a PC.
