"If voting changed anything it would be illegal."

Great quote there....it could well apply here in the UK right now, given the antics of our politicians, particularly the arrogance of Osbourne and Cameron. Just cos they did unexpectedly well in last year's elections (not through their abilities, just through people voting against the tow-rags on the other side), they think they've now the God-given right to tell all us lower-orders what we should think and do. Fking wankers...and not in a good way!
Rant over, back to the matter in hand.

It's actually not voting that seems to change things the most in the US. That is what has allowed fringe groups so much power that they can really fuck up the government to the point where nothing constructive can get accomplished. It the average person doesn't start caring enough to vote, things are only going to get worse.
