They are exactly that Private. We as staff do not see nor do we log any private messages.

If someone gets booted for something they did not do in the room it was because a fellow chatter told us about it and showed us the conversation via a cut and paste.

If a user is harassing you and the mods are not around, if you are on the HTML5 client you can type /ignore theirname where thiername is the current name they are using in the chat room.

when clicking on the chat tab, opens another window and removes the https security. If you return to the forum it stays unsecure. You have to close all windows and relog in to get back to https.

The old room was shut down back in June for the new Discord. The chat room still exists. It's just been moved to a brand new home.
