Thanks to people who helped. This good and clever site, like others, may have created different versions to suit the variety of modern devices in use and some devices will automatically choose one version or another but that version might not suit your particular device and result in a muddled, difficult appearance on screen. Solution is to find Settings, on mine three dots top right, and choose Version that suits your device, on mine 'Desktop' yours might be 'Mobile'. Hope this info helpful.

Thanks. Smutty is my go to for still images. My only issue is annoying banner adds near the bottom of the screen (mobile).
