After careful observation and consideration, we've determined that a significant portion of Wickr users from the site are using the platform to find chat partners for subjects against the Terms of Service that we've all agreed to when signing up for the site. The decision has been made that we will no longer support or allow threads looking for/trading Wickr IDs. Any other posts with Wickr IDs will either be deleted or edited to remove Wickr IDs.

What a shame for all the genuine wickr users

Although I've never used it, myself, I wouldn't disagree. But, thank the bad apples. As the saying goes, this is why we can't have nice things.

As far as I'm concerned the Internet should be regulated more or less the same as any other media. I don't want to see thinly veiled messages about trading illegal images anywhere. Wicr is notorious for it so doesn't belong on this site.
If people want to use it they still can, they can email users directly and swap their ids. That way this site is still protected.
This is a sensible and good move.
