For almost two years now, I've been trying to hook-up with a guy just to jerk off to female celebs but I have found nothing but bad luck and flakes. I've been running the craigslist circuit as well as a few posts here.
Still nothing.

Is there something a person can say or do that puts you off? or a phrasing that turns someone away?

Yes I don't think it would be safe to be searching on Craig's list. I have read some bad stories from people connecting on there. Even attacked some folks getting raped and rob and even beaten up. Lots of sick minded people out.

it is tough. look around there are a lot of posts just like yours. it shouldn't be tough considering there are a lot of guys looking for the same thing but I think finding one another and getting the time, place, etc. is tricky.

My thoughts are:
Most guys are more about the fantasy of it than real live fun...unless they are gay. I am not implying anything negative here, its just an observation.

Most married guys are too fearful to act, meet, etc
..and for both these reasons and more you end up with many who want nothing more than emails, cam, chat, and or they will flake.

Nearly every attached guy I have talked to has ended up being all talk, and no action in real life. They claim serious interest in f2f activities but end up making excuses as to why they cant meet or they vanish after some discussion, like their discussion with you was mostly masturbation fun, and they got off.

I would like to find a friend, not for a one time thing, but ongoing respectful laid back fun.

wantsumfun has some great insights. The problem might be location. I'm in rural NC and depending on where you are in VA there are alot of similarities. Many of your local guys are going to keep it chat and cam for convenience and safety. I enjoy experimenting with exhabitionism on cam but i'm reluctant to try in person.

I think thats another issue, just being reluctant to try it with the right matching friend.
Beyond the fear of being discovered and all that etc there is also a tendency to be fearful of the unknown, untried, even fear of some 'implications' to ones sexual nature etc Once one gets past that and realizes that it changes nothing about them really, I think they can be more apt to have simple fun, and put aside the fears.
